This suite is the largest suite in the hotel . It is a tribute to the emperor D. Pedro I , who declared Brazil's independence from Portugal on September 7, 1822 . On October 12 he was acclaimed Brazilian emperor and by March 1824 he had defeated all the armies loyal to Portugal . He was consecrated by contemporaries and by posterity as a key figure who helped spread the liberal ideals that have made Brazil and Portugal move from authoritarian forms of government to more representative government schemes.
The Boutique Hotel Casa de Santo António sought in this suite to pay a tribute to this great man , but also to celebrate a cultural alliance that unites these two great peoples: the Brazilian people and the Portuguese people. The suite occupies the most noble part of the mansion in an area of about 50 m2.
The four poster bed and the furniture of the epoch prepare the entrance to the bath area equipped with sofas and chaises longues, and decorated with fabrics from the Orient . Although the decor and furnishings remind us of the past, the suite is modernly equipped with LED TV , minibar, safe, air conditioning, hair dryer, wireless internet, Nespresso coffee machine and King Size bed .
